A glacial erratic is a large rock deposited by retreating glaciers during the last Ice Age—unlike surrounding bedrock, it originates elsewhere.

Big Rocks Viewpoint

Big Rocks Viewpoint is a point of interest within Nose Hill Park, offering views of the city and surrounding landscape.

Stone Labyrinth

Labyrinths themselves are an ancient archetype dating back 4,000 years or more, and are generally used symbolically, as a walking meditation, choreographed dance, or site of rituals and ceremony, among other things.

Nose Hill Summit Viewpoint

Also known as Medicine Hill. This area is of cultural and spiritual significance to the Blackfoot people and serves as a place for prayer, reflection, and connection with the land.

Estimated Duration: 1–3 hours Less than 1 hour: For those moving at a fast pace — jogging or running — with little to no stops for activities. 1–3 hours: A balanced experience, taking time to enjoy the scenery and participate in the activities along the way. 3 hours or more: A relaxed pace with plenty of time to soak in the sights, take photos, and fully engage in all the activities.
How many people can participate?

We recommend a group of 2–4 people for the best experience.
Can I bring animals?

You may, but for the best experience, we recommend leaving them at home.
Do I need a phone pouch for the experience?

A phone pouch isn't required, but it's highly recommended - your Urban Escape self-guided map will be on your phone. Keeping your hands free will make it easier to enjoy the experience.
