As a small business owner, I’ve learned that it’s important to be mindful of where you spend your money. When you’re building something from the ground up, every dollar matters.
For now, I’ve chosen to do as much as I can myself. From creating the experiences to handling the planning, marketing, and everything in between, doing it myself allows me to save money while also learning every part of the business.
At this stage, our events are still small enough that one person can realistically manage most of the work. It can be challenging at times, but it’s also part of the journey.
That said, my goal has always been to grow Urban Escape beyond a one-person operation.
I want to build something that can create opportunities for others, bring more people into the team, and eventually become a business that can operate and grow beyond what I can personally do alone.
For now, I’m wearing all the hats.
One day, I hope I won’t have to.
